What long and winding road led you to your current position?
Interior and product designer for over 25 years
Where were you born? Where do you live now?
I was raised on an equestrian horse farm in Texas. We were the odd ducks who had saddles without horns on them.
What has been the worst moment in your professional life to date?
On June 26 2006 my 45,000. sq ft manufacturing, showroom and office building was burned to the ground in a six alarm fire.
What's been the best?
Building Eco safe products people told us could not be built. Such as our Patented Home paint made out of food grade ingredients!
What environmental offense has infuriated you the most?
25% of the worlds insecticides are used on cotton!! Leading to loss of plant, insect, bird and animal biodiversity and toxic ground water runoff,etc,etc.
Who is your environmental hero?
Rachel Louise Carson. She was an American marine biologist and nature writer whose writings are often credited with launching the global environmental movement.
What's your environmental vice?
Water use, however I believe salt-water desalination plants will provide the majority of the worlds water in the next 20 years. Texas is currently building the largest in the world in Galveston.

What's your favorite place or ecosystem?
Untouched parts of Big Bend, Texas, or Southern Italy, where the Italian Government has limited development.
If you could institute by fiat one environmental reform, what would it be?
Make the majority of commercial and residential pesticides and insecticides completely illegal and encourage alternative natural forms of pest balance.
What is the best idea you’ve heard lately?
BMW 7 Hydrogen car! It is touted as the first hydrogen-drive luxury performance automobile for everyday use.
What is your motto?
Everything is possible thru hard work, ingenuity and Gods help.

Loyalty
How do you spend your free time?
Reading voraciously
What's your favorite meal?
Fresh vegetables and fruits according to season. Fresh Pasta anytime!
What is your philosophy of giving?
We should always appreciate our gifts and share as much as possible with those in need.
What is your first memory of volunteering or making a donation?
As a small child giving to families on Christmas Eve.
What organization are you affiliated with presently?
We have our own corporate homeless and battered women hiring program.
What category or causes do you support philosophically or financially?
Greenpeace, Doctors without Borders, Sierra Club, Multiple Organic Cotton Co ops in India and etc.
Where do you volunteer?
Mostly in India.

My Grandmother
What inspires your impulse to give or volunteer?
A sense of responsibility to help others.

Rolling Stones, Vedic and Gregorian chants.

Which actor would play you in the story of your life?
Hopefully not Kermit the frog.
