When is shopping an art? For at least one day a year, your dollars give twice when the annual Art to Wear Fashion Sale brings high fashion to San Francisco for the benefit of the San Francisco’s esteemed Museum of Craft and Folk Art.

“Pardon the pun, but this is a pretty crafty‚ way to look good and do good,” said Kate Eilertsen, Executive Director of the Museum of Craft and Folk Art. “This event really is the best of both possible worlds - great shopping and great art. What better way to support the artistic community than by buying and wearing art.”

On Saturday, November 10, the 14th annual event will hold sway at the Fort Mason Conference Center with a wide array of clothing, jewelry and accessories designed by established and new Bay Area designers.

“Many of our designers have participated in this event repeatedly for many years,” said Art to Wear coordinator Gaby Isaacson. “You’ll enjoy items from clothing designers such as Marian Clayden, jewelry designers such as Ann Hedges, plus accessory designers like Aida Dalati, among many others.

For almost 25 years, the Museum of Craft and Folk Art has provided the Bay Area with unique exhibitions and educational programs that inspire a variety of ethnically diverse communities. mocfa.org
