Petchitecture is the flagship fund-raiser for Pets Are Wonderful Support (PAWS). PAWS asks local Architects, Designers, and Artists to design and create a unique habitat for Petchitecture where it is then displayed and finally sold at a live auction! This year's theme is Petchitecture Goes Green and the "Petchitects" (Architects, Designers, and Artists) have gone all out to create using sustainable resources or recycled materials! Google SketchUp helped sponsor this year's event and this collection is only some of the awesome habitats designed for the event.

For over twenty years, PAWS has worked to keep people living with HIV/AIDS, other disabling illnesses, and now seniors, together with their companion animals. They do this by providing free pet food, supplies and medications, free annual check-ups and vaccinations, and vet funds for regular pet care as well as critical care. A virtual army of volunteers does dog walking for homebound clients, transportation to vet and grooming appointments, in-home animal care, fostering when clients are hospitalized, and delivery of the monthly food bank supplies. A separate advocacy program helps people who are risk of losing their housing because of their service animals. Their client base has increased 35% over the past two years, so there is a definite need for PAWS and the services they provide. Photo Ops hosted by top professional animal photographers. Every convenience offered for you and your pet including Doggie Day Care and Bow Wow Bar with doggie treats on silver trays! Hosted cocktails and delicious culinary delights

All net proceeds help San Franciscans with HIV/AIDS and other disabling illnesses, as well as senior citizens, stay together with their beloved pet.
