Snoop Dogg has donated a $45,000 deposit for his upcoming The Exotic Erotic Ball & Expo performance in San Francisco to charity. The money went to The Healing Circle, which helps survivors of homicide and victims of inner city violence.

Snoop DoggDog said this about his generosity. “That's how we do it in the black community; we give back to the people who made us who we are. We never forget that.”

Rap producer J.T. The Bigga Figga, who helped set-up the donation, says, "Snoop can take the easy way and give to some big popular charity with a hundred other celebrities. But that's not what Snoop is about. He’s all about neighborhoods. He's about acknowledging them, educating them and helping to fix their problems."

Dog adds, “It's so easy for a kid to join a gang, to do drugs… We should make it that easy to be involved in football and academics.”

The primary mission of The Healing Circle Soul Support Group is to promote sharing, healing, education, and action for survivors of homicide and victims of inner city violence. Healing Circle meetings take place the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month at Paradise Baptist Church in San Francisco.

Perry Mann, the founder and producer of the world famous annual event, now regularly attends the meetings and says he’s become personally involved. “I feel like there is a debt owed to the African American community and especially to the mothers in the neighborhoods who’ve lost more than one child to gangs and inner city violence.”

Mann wants it to be known that Snoop Dog gives more than cash to the mothers. “Snoop is very involved in the charity and he does the work himself. He as emotionally involved as he is personally involved. He has a good heart.”

The two-day expo begins Friday at noon and runs through the Ball. Dogg will perform live Friday night and will return the next night as a special guest at the Ball, where he will join Tera Patrick and Danny Bonaduce as judges of the Ball's world famous costume contests.  The 3 contest winners will share over $10,000 in cash and prizes, including 4 nights at Mexico's plush Cabo Villa Beach Resort.  exoticeroticball.com
