Academy of Friends annually produces the world’s premier Academy Awards Night Charity Gala as the centerpiece of its efforts to raise funds, award donations, and encourage volunteerism that benefit a diverse set of HIV/AIDS direct care and prevention education agencies in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The proceeds from the Gala support 12 Bay Area HIV/AIDS organizations. Over the last two decades, Academy of Friends has distributed over $6.5 million to more than 60 organizations serving men, women, and children affected by HIV/AIDS.

Journey through exciting salons designed by San Francisco’s top designers. Bid on fantasy vacations, glamorous fashions, and gorgeous jewelry in our Silent Auction Salon. After the “Best Picture” category Taylor Dayne takes to the stage for a concert.

Dayne came to prominence in the late 1980s and continued to appear at the top of the charts through the 1990s. Her most recent U.S. dance chart number-one song was "Planet Love" in 2000. She remains a pop favorite in the U.S. and abroad.
