About Phil

Phil created this free website and newsletter to fill the gaps in the categories of green, good and giving.

Phil, a long time philanthropist and volunteer, believes news stories around these issues should be alive, buzzing and energetic.

He exists to tell the untold stories, serve up trends before they cool, spotlight the underserved, and to connect with the indifferent.

His coverage is independent. Criticism is passed when needed and praise when warranted. His work is serious, but he doesn’t take himself seriously. He’s just a guy, with his sleeves rolled up, a loose tie around his neck and he enjoys getting his hands dirty.

Phil calls San Francisco his home and his contributors are located from the far corners of the world. E-mail phil@weeklyphil.com
